About Me

Hi, my name is Rachael and I am a self taught photographer.  It is something I have enjoyed doing for many years, even decades.  Even saying it like that, it makes me feel, and sound old, especially if I say I've been taking photos for at least four decades.  Which is true enough.  I love the West Country.  I've taken photos from the New Forest to Exmoor and a fair bit in the middle.  I'm always open to suggestions and have a few places on my "wish list" too.

Anyhow, although I do take people portraits or weddings, I predominantly take pictures of landscapes, seascapes, animals and birds.  I also enjoy being a "little left field" and enjoy taking images of steam trains and how they work within their landscape too.

Please keep returning to this website as I will be adding (or taking away) various images and am hoping to do various series eg sunrise at Blue Anchor (beach), West Bay with it's amazing variety of weather and wave power, dogs and owls.  Not necessarily in all the same picture though.
